Lacassane Hunting Lodge

The Lacassane Company is pleased to offer corporate hunting opportunities at the Lacassane Lodge, near Lake Arthur, Louisiana. The Lacassane Company is a 21,000 acre property bordering the entire length of the Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge.  The property consists of both marsh and rice fields that have traditionally been reserved for the use of the directors of the company but now has availability at the Lacassane Lodge facility for those looking for an entertainment venue at one of the premier waterfowl sites in North America.

Early evidence of hunting through pictures at our historic Greenhouse, provide for great overview of the traditions that we still adhere to today.  The Lodge, located on the Lowery Plantation, is a classic Cajun Prairie camp that was built in 1948.  You know you are at an old school camp when you enter thru the kitchen and are greeted by our chef and guides.  The well-appointed Lodge can accommodate 12 hunters that will hunt 4 blinds daily.  Our Lacassane Club facility, at the Illinois Plantation side of the farm, will also hunt 4 blinds daily.  With 60 blinds available, and eight hunted daily, our world class guides have the ability to rotate blinds and retain large sections of acreage as holding areas for wintering waterfowl; thus, ensuring the quality habitat and enhancing the hunting success rate.

About the Lodge

When you arrive at the Lodge the afternoon prior to your hunt you will be treated to cocktails and appetizers, followed by a sumptuous dinner prepared by our chef.  Awake to coffee and a light continental breakfast before departing to your blind. At Lacassane Lodge, we employ the finest guide staff (and dogs) anywhere in the Louisiana.  We are delighted to have champion goose caller, Michael Miller, on staff as Head Guide and Property Manager.  Michael and his guide team will transport you to the marsh blinds in surface drive boats or to the field blinds in ATVs.  Following the hunt, guests return to the Lodge where a delicious brunch will be ready and waiting for you while your birds are processed and readied for your trip home.  If you are staying for a multiple day hunt you can enjoy an afternoon of fishing in one of our marshes or stocked lakes.  Guides for these fishing excursions are recommended and available for hire at a nominal fee.

The Lacassane Lodge also offers corporate retreats and guided ecotourism/marsh expeditions during the off season complete with all of the amenities provided during the hunting season.
